"Over the past few years, it has been very difficult for businesses to find banks that are willing to make loans. Small business growth is a key component of our economic recovery, and making sure businesses and lenders are talking to each other is necessary," said Gordon. "This event will be an opportunity for lenders to meet with businesses that are looking to grow and for businesses to meet those individuals who can help them in securing financing."
She will host the "How to Access Capital for Your Business" workshop with the Illinois Department of Financial Regulation and the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce.
It will take place February 10 from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Peoria NEXT Innovation Center, located at 801 W. Main St. in Peoria. Those interested in attending the workshop are asked to RSVP to Gordon's office at repjgordon@gmail.com or by calling 309-681-1992.
