SAP to Extend Business Opportunities for Partners with Launch of SAP® Business One ...

Hosted by Certified Partners, SAP? Business One OnDemand Solution to Come Via Web Browser

HANOVER, Germany--SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) today announced the SAP? Business One OnDemand solution, a new offering that aims to build upon the broad market success of the SAP Business One application, addressing small enterprise preferences for minimal up-front cost and lower IT operations. The announcement was made at CeBIT 2012, being held March 6-10 in Hanover, Germany.

To be offered by trusted partners, including Hungarian Telecom, itelligence, Seidor, Singtel, Versino and Virtustream, the on-demand solution is planned to be comprehensive, easy to consume and available with transparent, predictable costs. It will target smaller companies seeking a single offering with deep business functionality, as well as support for sales, purchasing, inventory and finance business processes.

SAP intends to provide SAP Business One OnDemand through qualified partners as well as further extendibility and industry offerings as required. The recommended concept to partners is a monthly subscription fee per user. Initially, the solution is planned for availability in 18 countries, including Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States. As a comprehensive partner-hosted cloud environment targeting smaller companies, SAP Business One OnDemand is intended to complement the currently available SAP? Business ByDesign(TM) solution for midmarket customers.

"Small and midsize companies continue to be a relatively untapped market for SaaS / hosted solutions, especially small firms," said Ray Boggs, vice president, IDC. Boggs indicated that this will likely change as over half of small firms plan to add enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM) and other advanced software while looking at cloud-delivered solutions: "Not everyone will move to the cloud, of course, but interest is clearly growing even among the smallest firms."

SAP Business One OnDemand will be suitable for customers seeking to implement their first holistic ERP software as well as for affiliates of large enterprises with deep industry functionality requirements. Customers may want to choose the cloud deployment model or combine it with on-premise deployment, avoid a lump-sum cash outlay or capital investment and help heavily reduce IT operation costs by not having to hire experienced IT staff for maintenance of the underlying infrastructure. Together with perpetual license options for on-premise or hosted installation, the on-demand option aims to provide customers unprecedented licensing and delivery flexibility to adopt the world-class SAP Business One application on their own terms, based on their individual IT and financial needs and preferences.

Building on Broad Market Success Building on the significant channel success of SAP Business One, SAP intends to offer SAP Business One OnDemand exclusively via its vibrant partner ecosystem, which provides local industry expertise to customers. A compelling set of new features are planned, aiming to allow partners to operate the solution for their customers in a cost-efficient way, building on proven architectural principles of SAP software. SAP is planning various ways for partners to participate in the delivery of SAP Business One OnDemand. Hosting partners will need to obtain an SAP hosting certification. Reselling partners or value-added resellers (VARs) without SAP hosting certification will be able to subcontract to a certified SAP hosting partner.

"Small companies with little infrastructure and outsourced IT are expecting cloud offerings, sometimes in easy combination with their existing software," said Eric Duffaut, president, Ecosystem & Channels, SAP AG. "Together with our partners, SAP is committed to providing customers of all sizes with choice and a solution that fits their needs. Now, small companies can use SAP Business One on premise or in the cloud to run their businesses better."

ANZ Partners with Innovyz to Launch Small Business Accelerator Program - YAHOO!

ANZ, in partnership with Innovyz, has recently launched the 'ANZ Innovyz START Program', a three month intensive accelerator program aimed at assisting prospective and existing small business owners to develop and grow their businesses for success.

Melbourne, Victoria (PRWEB) March 14, 2012

Start ups, early stage small businesses or those with innovative ideas are encouraged to apply. Applications are open until 20 April 2012. To apply, go to http://www.innovyzstart.com/.

The ANZ Innovyz START program is a member of the Global Accelerator Network and is modelled on TechStars, the US mentor-driven seed stage investment program which has created some of the world's most successful start-up businesses.

The ANZ Innovyz START program offers participants the unique opportunity to be mentored by global specialists in entrepreneurship and innovation, including world renowned expert, Dr Jana Matthews.

Commenting on ANZ's partnership with Innovyz, ANZ General Manager for Small Business, Nick Reade said: "Our support for this program forms part of ANZ's commitment to the Australian small business sector. We're also a strong supporter of the start up segment, having an approval rate of around 80 per cent for ANZ start up loan applications.

"The Australian small business sector contributes almost half of Australia's private sector jobs, and while many are very successful, there are some which are having a tough time at present, and the sector continues to need investment and support.

"This program is about fostering growth and innovation in small business, and accelerating the development of start-up companies who really need that initial leg-up to get going.

"Whether you're a new small business, or just someone with a great innovative idea, it's about having the right support, mentoring and skills to get off the ground. The ANZ Innovyz START program is all about creating a launch pad for these people by giving them the expertise and funding to grow and commercialise their business," Mr Reade said.

The program commences on 28 May 2012 and will require 10 selected companies to reside in Adelaide for three months. The companies will be mentored by successful global entrepreneurs, be given the tools and programs to help them identify target markets, develop business plans and create strategies for growth. On the final day of the program they will then present to potential investors to seek funding.

ANZ has also launched The ANZ Small Business Hub' LinkedIn group which provides an interactive and inclusive community for small businesses to connect, share ideas, build profiles and open doors to new opportunities. To become a member of ANZ's Small Business Hub community, go to LinkedIn.

On Deck Introduces Small Business Game Changer With Launch of On Deck Express

NEW YORK, Feb. 22, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- On Deck (www.ondeckcapital.com) -- the technology platform that connects Main Street directly to capital -- announced today the launch of On Deck Express, the fastest way for small businesses to access up to $25,000 in as fast as 24 hours online.  On Deck Express is also On Deck's most accessible loan yet, serving both Main Street and online businesses that have been open for at least one year.

On Deck Express addresses what millions of local restaurants, retailers, and service businesses need when operating their business – fast access to capital to both take advantage of opportunities and respond to everyday obstacles. Business owners can now exploit time sensitive opportunities to buy discounted inventory, immediately hire new employees to take on larger projects, or quickly replace a critical piece of equipment that their business depends on.

On Deck originally improved small business access to capital through its innovative underwriting platform that created greater efficiencies and accuracies to a historically time intensive process. The introduction of On Deck Express further leverages this proprietary technology to make capital available faster and easier than any other small business finance option on the market. An approval process that often takes weeks or even months with traditional lenders or the Small Business Administration, can now take just minutes, all done entirely online through the On Deck platform.

"Today's uncertain economy creates significant challenges for millions of small businesses and the On Deck platform continues to evolve to best meet these challenges," said Noah Breslow, chief operating officer, On Deck. "On Deck Express allows small business owners to quickly respond to the needs of their day-to-day operations. And our first of its kind online lending process leapfrogs other small business lending options in the market."

Obtaining an On Deck Express loan is fast, simple, and transparent for small business owners. Business owners set up their online profile at www.ondeckcapital.com and immediately get free insights into their credit profile and cash position. The On Deck Express application and approval process is completely automated, and once approved the business owner is empowered to select from available term and loan options that best meet their business needs. From there, On Deck's funding process enables a business owner who is approved Monday morning to have their funds deposited in their account by Tuesday. This is a significant advancement for a process that has historically taken many weeks and required a major investment of time and extensive documentation from business owners.   While many business owners prefer the convenience of an all-online process, business owners can always speak to an On Deck  loan specialist for assistance, and complete the Express application process offline if they choose.

For the companies in need of a higher amount of capital to fund company investments such as launch marketing campaigns, renovate office space or move locations, traditional On Deck loans up to $150,000 are available that can still be funded faster than any other option available today, in up to seven days. To date, On Deck has delivered more than $200M to thousands of small businesses nationwide.

To learn more about On Deck, please visit www.ondeckcapital.com.

About On Deck

Launched in 2007, On Deck Capital uses data aggregation and electronic payment technology to evaluate the financial health of small businesses and to efficiently deliver capital to a market underserved by traditional bank loans.  Through the On Deck Capital platform, millions of small businesses can obtain affordable loans to meet their daily operating and long term goals.  The company's proprietary platform looks deeper into the health of small businesses, focusing on the overall business performance, rather than the owner's personal credit history.  The On Deck system also provides a critically needed mechanism for commercial institutions to efficiently reach and serve the historically underserved Main Street small businesses market.

On Deck Capital is financed by some of the nation's leading venture capital firms, including SAP Ventures, Contour Venture Partners, First Round Capital, Khosla Ventures, RRE Ventures and Village Ventures. For more information, please visit: www.ondeckcapital.com.

"HP is dedicated to enabling small businesses beyond technology with alliances, webinars, social forums, blogs and training to help them manage and grow their business," said Chris Ogburn, director, SMB Marketing, Personal Systems Group - Americas, HP. WomenCorporateDirectors Announces Launch of First Annual "Americas Institute" for Boards

NEW YORK, Feb. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- WomenCorporateDirectors (WCD) is launching a new WCD Americas Institute this March – its first conference dedicated specifically to exploring trends, business opportunities, and challenges in this hemisphere, directed to a global boardroom audience. This first Americas Institute will focus on Latin America, featuring a slate of speakers and panelists with deep business, regulatory, and trade expertise in the region. WCD will also launch the WCD Americas Awards program at the institute, recognizing companies and business leaders who are making an impact in business practices and governance in the Americas.

"With our regional focus, we are able to take a deeper dive into specific issues affecting organizations doing business in the Americas, including market trends and supply chain concerns," says Susan Stautberg, president of PartnerCom Corporation and co-founder and co-chair of WCD. "This kind of forum provides a real hands-on approach to director education in regional issues, as well as in-depth, interactive discussions for directors about bringing best governance practices back to their boardrooms."

"We chose Latin America as the focus for our first Americas Institute – the region is taking on greater priority for corporate boards, as it is emerging as a new economic force," says Henrietta Holsman Fore, chairman and CEO of Holsman International and co-chair of WCD. "Latin America presents unique challenges, and it is important that directors know what to look for – and look out for – among business opportunities."

The institute will be held on March 9, 2012, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Palm Beach. WCD, with more than 1,350 women director members worldwide, has four chapters in Latin American countries, including Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, and Peru.

"Companies are watching many of the countries shift from being primarily natural resource exporters to nations of consumers," says Pat McKay, partner at Templeton & Company, former CFO and director at Office Depot, Inc., and chair of the South Florida chapter of WCD. "The emerging middle class is driving growth, especially in Brazil, and corporations are having to shift their perceptions of how these markets fit into the supply chain."

The WCD Americas Institute will address the evolving nature of Latin American economies, in addition to best corporate governance practices. The keynote speaker will be Lars Thunell, CEO of the International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group. Other speakers include Mel Lagomasino, director of Avon Products and The Coca-Cola Company; Toti Graham, director of Interbank, Quimica Suiza, Grupo Salud del Peru, ENFOCA SAFI, Corferias del Pacifico, and Red i3; Janet Clarke, director of Cox Communications, eFunds Corporation, ExpressJet Airlines Inc., and Asbury Automotive Group Inc.; Sherry Barrat, director of NextEra Energy Inc.; P.
