RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
ChannelAdvisor, a global e-commerce software provider that helps retailers be seen and sell more across online channels, today announced that guest speaker Forrester Research, Inc. Vice President and Research Director Zia Daniell Wigder will present at the 2012 Catalyst Conference on Tuesday, April 17th at 2:00 p.m. PST. Wigder’s session, titled “Brazil, China and Beyond,” will educate retailers on how to tap into flourishing markets, how consumer behavior varies across cultures and take a look at retailers that have successfully expanded into these regions.
Wigder is a leading expert on web globalization and works with a wide variety of online businesses expanding internationally. With a particular focus on e-commerce and consumer behavior in Latin America, Europe and Asia, her research covers issues such as international shipping and logistics, website operations, payments, customer service and the translation and localization of global websites.
“Expanding internationally is a strategic move for many online retailers looking to increase and diversify their revenue sources,” said ChannelAdvisor President and COO David Spitz. “All eyes are on China and Brazil right now, both are showing great potential for e-commerce brands. We look forward to hearing Zia’s ideas about globalization at Catalyst and her first-hand experience working with online retailers that have gone through the expansion process.”
In addition to Wigder’s presentation, there will be additional sessions during the conference that address globalization. These sessions will include:
Global E-Commerce Management -- How Pioneers Are Making the Tough Decisions Internationalization – Cross-border Trade, Shipping, Tax and FulfillmentNewCommerce is the theme of this year’s conference, meaning the “anytime, anywhere” level of accessibility for shoppers that makes it increasingly complicated for retailers and manufacturers to reach consumers.
