There are soo many startup business myths. Entrepreneurs tend to think starting an online business is easier than other types of businesses. Sorry to say but that is plain stupid!
The best way to start an online business is just to dive in. Commit to spending 2 weeks and for $500 or less get the site up. Start selling your rough product within two weeks.
I say this because the sooner you launch the sooner you learn. Once you get something out there people will begin linking to you if you have a cool company/product.
