POSTED: 5:15 pm CST January 6, 2012 A summit to bring small business owners and agency program buyers together with local and state officials to discuss business opportunities and strategies is coming February 17, 2012, to the Shreveport Convention Center. The daylong gathering will provide several layers of interaction, including insightful discussions about the City?s $175 million bond issue, the Jobs Initiative Bill and best practices as they relate to effectively doing business with various government agencies and prime contractors. Mayor Cedric Glover, Sen. Mary Landrieu and Parish Administrator Woody Wilson are extending invitations for all small business owners to register and participate in the summit, as well as the informal mixer for all vendors on the evening of February 16. ``This is an exciting opportunity for small businesses in our community to obtain practical guidance and feedback on ways to enhance their operations and achieve the type of growth that not only moves them forward but our entire City,??
