Batavia

National recognition for PSA: Batavia Access Television (BATV) recently received an honorable mention for a Public Service Announcement (PSA) featuring the Batavia Public Library’s Born to Read program from the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA). The Born to Read program offers complimentary bags to parents of new babies who live in Batavia or within the Batavia Public Library District or School District. The bags contain several books for babies and early literacy information for parents. English and Spanish language bags are available.

Geneva

Networking luncheon: New year’s networking is the theme for the next Geneva Women in Business luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 17 at Northern Illinois Food Bank, 273 Dearborn Court, Geneva. Solidify relationships with fellow GWIB members during the special networking event catered by Gen-Hoe Restaurant. Reservations at 630-232-6060. Members: $25 with reservation; $30 if invoiced. Nonmembers: $30 with reservation; $35 if invoiced.

Yorkville

Yorkville’s Link to Business: Yorkville Area Chamber of Commerce, Leads Group 1 member, Rick Winninger, owner of Action Graphix and Firearm Safety Academy of Yorkville, was the presenter and host to YACC Leads group 1 on Dec. 15. Winninger has provided members of the group with display boards, imprinted table cloths, vehicle wraps, signs, decals and banners just to list a few items. As a public service to veterans, Winninger also offers free “welcome home” banners.
